General Counsel – Legal Affairs

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for
assisting the General Counsel in the provision of legal services to the Law
School Admission Council (LSAC). Manage
the contract review and approval process. Develop, revise and advise on the
interpretation and implementation of internal policies. Provide support for various governance
activities, including, but not limited to, the LSAC Misconduct and Irregularities
Subcommittee and the Finance and Legal Affairs Committee. Serve as a member of the Questioned
Test-Score Review Board and respond to legal inquiries regarding it. Perform such other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
JD or equivalent law degree
required. Admission to the Pennsylvania
Bar Association, with, at minimum, an In-House Corporate Counsel License (or
eligibility for bar admission within six months) required. Minimum of five years relevant experience in
the provision of legal services to in-house or external clients required. Work experience in an educational testing
organization or higher education institution strongly preferred. Strong writing, analytical, organizational
and speaking skills required.
Demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality and sound independent
judgment required. Good client-relations
skills required.
