POSITION PURPOSE
The
Job Resource Center Coordinator has experience, higher educational
level, and/or combination of experience and education to extend customer
service from the
Job Connection to the public. The Job Resource Center Coordinator is
responsible for accomplishing this by executing training, job placement
assistance, and encouraging a mutual associate/customer relationship
which enhances the profitability of the Company.
This position is a member of the Management Support Team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
·
Provide
coverage at the Job Connection for job search counseling and
skills-based training, work readiness classes, resume and application
assistance, career guidance
and assessment, job referrals, and job placement assistance.
·
To
achieve organizational and departmental goals in regards to people
served, placed, and trained, in addition to any other objectives set
forth as necessary.
·
Assist
in following through with program evaluation, reporting,
accountability, and communicating with Workforce Development activities.
·
Cultivate
relationships with employers in order to fin viable job opportunities
for people with barriers to employment and to educate employers and
partners about
disabilities and other barriers.
·
To promote employer services, such as recruiting, pre-screening, job fairs, orientations, etc.
·
Where
applicable, to provide case management services including orientation,
work readiness training, productivity monitoring/coaching, case record
documentation,
and job placement services to the assigned clientele.
·
Assess participants’ needs and determine appropriate referral level.
·
Inputting of data on participants to ensure accurate statistics and tracking.
·
Maintain confidentiality of files and all records and files concerning any positions.
·
To post jobs daily for job participants to access and contact local employers in order to find out about job openings.
·
Work cooperatively with community groups, co-workers, and subordinates to promote the achievement of the company mission.
·
Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information including but not limited to client program information.
·
Develop relationships with referral agencies and assist in developing and identifying new linkages to expand services.
·
Teach job seeking methods and techniques in individual and/or group settings as required.
·
Achieve exceptional program outcomes based on established quality standards.
·
Focus on client participation and appropriate career opportunities for each individual.
·
Responsible to communicate with the Director of GSS & Workforce Development regarding any internal and external issues.
·
Assist the organization in maintaining compliance with appropriate standards and federal, state and local regulations.
·
Ensure maximum security and protection of company assets.
·
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
·
All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in field of Human Services, Education,
or a combination of related experience and education is required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or combination of direct
experience/education.
Two
or more years of experience in a human services agency with direct
client interaction and a valid driver’s license are required.Bi-lingual preferred.
