Manager, Staffing and Human Resources
– WHYY, the region’s premier pubic media organization, is looking for a
dynamic, organized self-starter to join the Human Resources department.
This fulltime position is both a hands-on and strategic role that provides full
cycle human resources generalist support to the organization. The position
requires someone who is organized, efficient, works well under pressure and has
a comprehensive understanding of the HR function and how it operates within a
mid-sized organization.
The position is primarily responsible
for all aspects of recruitment, but should be familiar with benefits
administration, employee relations, and capturing HR metrics. This
position works closely with the director of human resources in the development
and establishment of HR strategies to ensure alignment with the organization’s
goals and strategies.
To be successful, the incumbent must
possess a minimum of five years’ experience in human resources, a resume that
shows steady progression and responsibility, prior experience managing
life-cycle recruitment; a bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related
discipline and established working knowledge of many aspects of human
resources. Proficiency in compliance issues, local, state and federal
laws/regulations; along with familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking
systems, advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs are also required.
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, attention to
detail, discretion and exhibit the ability to work well within a hectic
environment. PHR certification is preferred.
