HR
Administrator (Human Capital Management Specialist II)
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, Camden Campus,
this position is responsible for coordinating the delivery of human resource
services for staff and faculty. This
includes working with current department administrators across the campus to
deliver services related to employment, benefits, training, University policy,
wage and salary guidelines and all union contracts. This position will also serve in an
administrative capacity for the department fielding general questions
pertaining to basic human resources related topics, answering phones, entering
data and filing.
This position initiates, calculates, reviews, inputs, and
implements individual salary and data actions for faculty and staff; guides
departments on procedures and required documentation for HRIS data input and
reviews for accuracy. Daily system
actions include, but are not limited to, hiring, classification, promotion,
transfer, leaves of absence, out-of-cycle salary change, reappointment, acting
out of title, title change, lay-off/recall, or separation actions. Analytically reviews various reports to
ensure campus compliance; makes recommendations for any necessary corrections
and follows up to ensure action is taken.
This position also schedules, coordinates, communicates
and tracks all meetings related to the HR office including benefits seminars,
management and employee training, employee roundtable meetings, video
conferences, and general meetings.
Individual is also expected to assist in building, scheduling and
presenting new hire orientation for all new hires coming to the Camden
campus. This person works in a
confidential, collaborative, and positive manner.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources management
or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that
demonstrates knowledge and understanding of human resources. Requires excellent computer, communication,
analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills; commitment to excellent
customer service; ability to deal with a variety of situations with discretion
and confidentiality. Must be available
to work occasional evening and weekend hours in addition to the standard
workweek.
This position will be trained at the New Brunswick campus
for a period of approximately three months.
After this extensive training, this position will be stationed on the
Camden campus with periodic training updates in New Brunswick.
