District 1199C Training & Upgrading Fund seeks a motivated, highly organized staff member with diverse skill sets that include outstanding administrative, software, and project management skills as well as counseling and excellent communication skills to work in a non-profit educational setting. This is a full time position that is immediately available with responsibility for coordinating student recruitment, admissions, registration, maintenance of student files, and providing student support under the direction of the Department Director. Education and prior experience requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum five years office management and/or operations experience, including: general administration, project management, and educational support
Counseling experience required
Healthcare experience preferred
Experience working in an educational setting preferred
Technical skills required
  • Proficiency in project management
Counseling expertise required
Must be proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Publisher
Database expertise required
  • Proficiency in designing and maintaining filing systems
  • Proficiency with local area networks, printers, scanners, office equipment, phone and security systems General computer troubleshooting skills required
Other skills required:
  • Must have outstanding administrative, organizational, problem solving and project management skills
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills along with counseling skills
  • Must have outstanding teamwork skills and support collaborative working relationships
  • Must have high integrity and strong work ethic, be able to work well independently, be focused and detail oriented, be trustworthy, dependable, adhere to confidentiality requirements, be a positive thinker and cheerful
