Veterans Fair - June 18

Veterans Fair - June 18 Area veterans and their families are invited to my veterans fair, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18 at the East Lansdowne Borough Hall, 155 Lexington Ave., East Lansdowne. My veterans fair is a perfect opportunity for veterans of the 164th Legislative District to get information about state programs and benefits available to them, including real estate tax exemptions for veterans with disabilities, emergency financial assistance for veterans and their families, a tuition gratuity for veterans and their family members seeking higher education, bonus programs for veterans of the first Persian Gulf War and more. The state’s Mobile Veterans Outreach Van will also be at this FREE event. The van is staffed by accredited veterans services officers who provide information and assistance on benefits available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Those benefits include service-connected disability compensation, improved pensions, death pensions, VA health care benefits, burial benefits, education benefits, vocational rehabilitation and more. These are benefits that our brave servicemen and women have earned. If you know a veteran who would benefit from this event, please share this information with them and thank them for their service.
