Director, NLArts Community Arts Program
NLArts
is a Philadelphia arts organization that expands each child’s
appreciation for and participation in their community. This is
accomplished through interaction with artists and educators in
neighborhood-based performing and visual arts activities. NLArts
programs take place at the Northern Liberties Community Center, 3rd and
Fairmount Avenue.
The Director of NLArts is
the only year round position at the organization which has a current
budget of $40,000 per year. NLArts has unique partnerships with various
neighborhood groups such as the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association
(NLNA) and the Community Center that are essential to the position.
The Director must have strong people skills (youth and adults), sound
judgment and a good understanding of teaching the creative process.
Specific responsibilities
of the NLArts Director include: Programming, administration, financial
reporting and budgeting, board relations and maintaining strong bonds
with community partners.
This is a part-time job with flexible hours and a monthly stipend
