CareerTeam Earn Center is Moving

CareerTeam EARN Center is Moving! Why? In an effort to maintain continuity of the current workforce development system while we plan for the implementation of our integrated centers, Philadelphia Works needs to address a number of existing building leases which are expiring in the near future. All of the PA CareerLink® Philadelphia leases are set to expire this summer and have been renewed for one year. The EARN Center located at 1500 Walnut Street also has a lease that expires in August but that lease will not be renewed. Instead, that EARN Center, currently operated by CareerTeam, is being moved due to its proximity to One Penn Center at Suburban Station located at 1617 JFK Boulevard where Philadelphia Works has available space on the second floor to lease. Suburban Station is also a transportation hub accessible to the EARN system job seekers referred from the Elmwood and South Districts of the County Assistance Office. The move will occur in late August or early September. While the second floor also houses the PA CareerLink® Suburban Station center, this relocation is not an effort to integrate the EARN Center and PA CareerLink® Suburban Station at this time. In addition, all current EARN Center (and PA CareerLink® center) providers who are interested in providing services in the upcoming integration model will be required to participate in the upcoming RFP process. The CareerTeam EARN Center will function as a stand-alone center and will continue to operate business as usual --- just in a new location.
