Robots Reading Your Resume

Learn To Stop Worrying And Love The Applicant Tracking System
If you have attended our PREP Orientation or one of our Resume Workshops, you may have heard some information about how HR reps and recruiters are using specific software, called Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to help them scan and screen resumes. A great infografic on the HireRight blog, called Meet the Robots Reading Your Resume does a good job of providing some basic rules for formatting your resume to avoid the dreaded robotic rejection. See it here.
If you haven't attended on of our Resume Workshops, you may want to check one out. Call our Chester City office (610-447-3350) to sign up for Resume Elements. Our Media office at Delaware County Community College has both a basic resume workshop--Resume I, and a more advanced class--Resume II. Call us at 610-723-1220 and let us know about your experience level so we can help you choose the appropriate workshop for you.
