Where to Donate Time and Items in a Time of Great Need
Not only is it the season for giving, but many people are in great crises right now due to the economy. If you have the ability, donate items or time. Your time and items can make all the difference in the world to a family in need.
Salvation Army
The Salvation Army helps an abundance of families. In order to donate, you can either bring to their location, or they will send out a truck to pick up your donations. The Salvation Army in Upper Darby,PA is a source of constant clothing drives, not just Thanksgiving clothing drives. This makes it easier to donate items if you're housebound, or don't drive. Operation Warm Coat
The Upper Darby School District's winter coat drive was a huge success this year, they collected 768 New winter Coats to give to children. Although they have already concluded this winter coat drive, please remember for next year. The Location, and dates and times of pick-ups are as follows:

The United Way
The United Way brings help to families in need. Although I couldn't find an Upper Darby,PA address for them, I felt it important to include them. Not only will they help with clothing, but they will bring a family Thanksgiving Dinner. The United Way has very successful thanksgiving drives, and also help people all year round.
