Please encourage those you know to attend these classes. The registration fee is only $5.00 (can be waived), we cook and eat at each session, the participants learn about the markers for controlling their diabetes, what foods to choose and include exercise in their day. They take home lesson books from Joslin Diabetes center, recipes and a cookbook, an exercise DVD and other items. We have all of these items in Spanish too.
The diabetes rate among minorities exceeds the general population. We are offering this class in English and Spanish and convenient to those in Chester without transportation. Please encourage your clients, neighbors and family to take advantage of this opportunity!
