Fresh Start Recovery and Support Services

Fresh Start is a transitional housing, drug and alcohol treatment, and supportive service agency founded by John & Bonnie Walls in 1989. The organization serves adult men and women from Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, and Chester Counties. Fresh Start currently has 280 operational beds with 60 employees providing therapeutic housing and related supportive services to approximately 800 men and women annually.

Our service model has been tailored to serve three very distinct populations of men and women, to include:

Adult chemically dependent men and women, and adults with co-occurring disorders.
Homeless, chemically dependent, and/or mentally ill Veterans
Men and women who are being released or diverted from incarceration for non-violent drug related offenses. Fresh Start is the bench mark for diversion and reintegration housing and supported services in Philadelphia County. We currently partner with the Office of Addiction Services (OAS), Philadelphia County Treatment Court, Veteran's Court, and the Forensic Intensive Recovery (FIR) program to offer a therapeutic community model as an alternative to incarceration.

**Please note: This program is not affiliated with Fresh Start Outreach Ministry or Fresh Anointing Christian Center.
