Thank you for your interest in Job Corps. We of the Reading
Job Corps Admissions team are eager to assist you in making your career dreams
come true. Since 1964 Job Corps has provided an opportunity for millions of
youth to prepare themselves for employment and independent living. We are
prepared to help you learn if Job Corps is right for you and to determine if
you are eligible for Job Corps.
We conduct
information and application meetings throughout the area and enclosed are the
time and place of upcoming meetings. Please
choose the meeting that is most convenient for you and make plans to attend. It
is not required that you make an appointment. The purpose of these meetings
is to provide information to prospective students and their parents about the
benefits Job Corps has to offer and what will be expected from you if you
granted a scholarship to attend a Job
Corps Center .
You must be on
time as there will be other prospective students in attendance and individuals
that arrive late are a disruption to the group. You must be dressed
appropriately for a business meeting.
*This meeting will take at least three hours and
could take as long as four hours
depending upon the size of the group. You must stay for the entire meeting.
*If you are under the age of 18 your parent or legal
guardian must attend this meeting with you and be prepared to stay for the
entire session.
*You must have your
