Life Skills Counselor (Delaware County) LSC

The Chester TLP Life Skill Counselor will have a BSW or a Bachelors degree in a related field with at least two years experience providing direct services to individuals and/or families. The Life Skills Counselor will be responsible for delivering direct face to face services to clients both in an in home setting as well as in the office and/or commercial/community space. The Life Skills Coordinator will provide weekly self esteem groups and life skills enhancement groups as well as weekly individual case management sessions. The Life Skills Counselor will attend appointments with clients sporadically as needed or as directed. The life skills counselor must be available by cell phone at all times and be available to work weekends and evenings as necessary. This is a full time, exempt position. Childcare EducatorCE

PathWays PA is seeking a Childcare Educator for our Child Learning Center at Delaware County Group home. Must have knowledge of early childhood development and ability to nurture and promote positive growth in pre-school age children. Candidates must have either a Child Development Associates Degree or 6 college credits in early childhood education. We are looking for two part time positions from 7am to 11am and from 3pm to 7pm. The Manager of Workforce Development will work closely with the Vice President of Workforce Development and Self Sufficiency to implement programs that help adult clients develop the skills and credentials necessary to secure and sustain employment and/or advance in their careers. This position will assist with all aspects of program management including: program design, implementation, evaluation, data collection, instructor recruitment, participant success and funder satisfaction. He/she must possess excellent communication, strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Excel and other project tracking applications; strong organizational skills. PathWays PA is seeking a full time Veterans Navigator for a new regional Veterans services initiative based in Delaware County, PA. The Navigator will help connect local Veterans with state, federal, and community resources necessary for securing employment and building financial stability. The Supervisor of Residential Advisors shall be a mature individual who has the ability to identify with and adapt to the goals and philosophies of the program. They shall possess the skills to teach parenting and problem solving techniques to mothers. They shall act as a role model to mothers and children and shall possess the knowledge necessary to interact in a supportive, non-punitive, and non-judgmental manner. Previous experience in a supervisory position preferred. The candidate will provide mentoring and academic support to students  throughout the school year. PathWays PA's innovative programing that promotes economic well-being in low-income families seeks a Graduate level Intern in Marketing or Business to engage the community in the Agency's work through online and Social Media coordination.

Candidates will have demonstrated ability and previous experience in managing social media programs, and strong skills in both written and verbal communication. Services to be supported and promoted will be in the Workforce Development field - crucial to client sustainability and self-sufficiency. Major outreach will relate to programs providing comprehensive support and workforce assistance to Veterans and to healthcare workers, some with and some without employment, seeking to engage them in certification training enabling them to raise from entry level wages to levels permitting living wage earnings and above.
Engagement in this project will afford the Intern multiple opportunities:

* Participate on the inside of a vibrant and accredited agency providing self-sufficiency and child and family advocacy        programs and services.
* Engage and perform in a meaningful real-world social media and program information dissemination placement.
* Bring classroom learning to bear in the advancement of an active social initiative.

Adopt-a-Family Volunteers NeededAAF

The annual Adopt-a-Family program provides the opportunity for the families PathWays PA serves to have their children experience the many joys of the holiday season that they otherwise may not have been able to afford. For many of our families this is the first time their children, regardless of their age, have experienced the joy of opening a present.

Thanks to the generous contributions of local donors and volunteers, families have been able to create their own special holiday memories over the years. Each year more than 200 families, and more than 500 children get to open gifts specially selected just for them!

The program is a source of happiness, love and satisfaction for all involved. With your help, this year's Adopt-a-Family program will be another huge success and will bring many smiles to the children's faces! We invite you to be a part of our team and deeply appreciate your willingness to donate your time and expertise to make the holiday season a joyous occasion for all.

We are currently seeking volunteers to help out in the following areas:

 
-Adopt-a-Family Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities
1.  Answer phones, take messages and return calls to donors
2.  Answer questions about donor drop off days and times and what family is assigned to donor
3.  Record donations
4.  Send thank you letters & cards

Requirements:
1.  Basic knowledge of computer and data entry
2.  Pleasant manner, patience, problem-solving ability

Time Commitment
November 1st 2014 to December 30th 2014. Three days a week 10:00am -2:00pm

Training will be provided

-Adopt-a-Family Gift Wrapper

 Responsibilities:
1.  Wrap gifts
2.  Bundle and label bags of gifts

Requirements:
Pleasant manner, patience, organizing skills

Time Commitment
December 1st 2014 to December 17th 2014. Three days a week 11:00am - 3:00pm
Gift wrapping experience preferred

Training will be provided

-Adopt-a-Family Package Handler

Responsibilities:
1.  Greet Adopt A Family donors dropping off packages
2.  Lift at least 25 lbs.
3.  Climb stairs
4.  Take packages to designated area

Requirements:
Pleasant manner, patience, organizing skills

Front Desk Receptionist - Volunteer PositionsFDR

PathWays PA, a non-profit social service agency, is seeking volunteers to help us cover our front desk in Holmes, PA (Delaware County). Our agency helps low income women and children achieve self sufficiency through a variety of programs and educational classes. Public transportation is easily accessible. Answer phones, greet those that come in, help with copies and other light office work. Hours needing coverage are Monday - Friday - varying hours. Great office experience for someone out of school, between jobs, or perhaps retired and would like to help out in some way. Background checks are required for all volunteers.
