Maternity Care Coalition (MCC), a dynamic nonprofit, works to improve maternal and child health and well-being through the collaborative efforts of individuals, families, providers and communities. MCC seeks an experienced Staff Accountant with non-profit, Abila MIP (formerly SAGE MIP) experience and ADP experience.
The Staff Accountant maintains the accounting records which include the preparation of payroll, journal vouchers, cash receipts, accounts payable and receivable, as well as bank reconciliations. Responsibilities include the preparation of monthly financial reports and related analysis for program and agency reporting, fixed assets inventory, grant and contract monitoring and reporting, and assisting with the annual audit.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with 2-4 years non-profit accounting experience. Experience with Abila MIP non-profit accounting software, proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel. Detail oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently, must be an active team member. Position in Philadelphia.
