Health Care for Foster Children Aged Out of System
As you may or
may not know, youth who have “aged out” of the foster care system (aged
18-26) are now eligible for health insurance under the new healthcare
law, until age 26. This is a very important piece of information that
our former foster care young people may not be aware of. Attached is a general flyer from Daniel Flynn (copied) at the Health
Federation. They are seeking support to identify and refer eligible
youth.
