The Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion in partnership with Child and Family Connections will be conducting two new sessions of theParenting with a Mental Illness Workshop in Center City, Philadelphia. The four week workshop series is free of charge for all participants.
This interactive and dynamic program teaches parents with psychiatric disabilities how to foster trust and communication and promote childhood resiliency by talking to their children about the difficult topic of mental illness. In addition to learning participants can expect lots of hugs, tears, and new friends!
Session 1: Begins Tuesday, September 24th, 2013; 6pm-8pm; runs for four consecutive weeks
Session 2:Begins Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013; 6pm-8pm; runs for four consecutive weeks
Where: 1515 Market Street, easily accessible by SEPTA/public transportation
