Small Business Saturday

Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday sits Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to supporting small businesses and
their communities.  We hope you’ll join us in supporting small businesses by committing to shop small, shop local for the 3rd annual

Small Business Saturday
on November 24, 2012

If millions of Americans shop small, it will be huge:

Unlike money spent with publicly traded companies, national chains or franchises;small, locally owned businesses help money earned locally stay local:
·         Your dollars spent in locally-owned businesses have 3 times the impact on your community as dollars spent at national chains.
·         When shopping locally, you simultaneously create jobs, fund more city services through sales tax, invest in neighborhood improvement and promote community development.

If just one in three microenterprises hired a single employee, the U.S. would be at full employment.

Local small businesses are owned and managed by your friends, neighbors, classmates and WBDC graduates.
